MS27497 38999 Series II rear-mount receptacle

What it is

A 38999 Series II square-flange receptacle designed for rear (back panel) mounting, so the flange sits behind the panel and the mating face projects through it. It uses crimp rear-release contacts and mates with MS27473 and MS27484 plugs.

Where it's used	Equipment boxes where the receptacle is installed from inside the enclosure.
Spec status	MS27497P (2 Feb 2012, Amendment 1 Nov 2012) under MIL-DTL-38999; reactivated after 24 May 2004 for new and existing designs.
Works with	MS27473, MS27484, MS27488, M39029
